Default What of Northern Ireland?!

Ok dudes we may be small, but look at Gaz! j/k anyways we have a clan called [CS] which are all NI members, we would absolutely love a map which isnt all about these superpowers like CHINA, US and MEC. Why not a good old battle between the IRA insurgents and the UK? Maybe we arent fighting as much anymore, but you never know...I think it would be very interesting and we have excellent streets for CQB and training exercises that the british army create, dont we Gaz? If your looking for some help with mapping well then you've already got one of them on the PR team. It would make all of us Northern Irish fellas days and also help other countries practice in confined streets against an army with no mercy, Interested?

The problem is modelling the team, not the maps. Neither the PLA, MEC or USMC sides could be plausibly passed off as northern irish insurgents.

hm....well then I suggest we need a new model, but not just IRA rebels, we should just have a new model called "Insurgents" or something, we should use them not just for this NI map they could be used anywhere. What you guys think?

Why dont we make all the armies in the world to keep everybody happy!

Oh and make people of the world who arnt actually an army and have no weapons, but can fight with sticks and rocks!

Not every army can be included in PR. the was alreay a discussion on the canadian Army, it wont happen.

a mercenary type team could be interesting. If the Devs are creating a new weapon loadout system then the troops on that team would have a mix of weapons based on reliability, ammo availability and cost rather than just the weapons that your normal country allows its soliders to use.

Now, enemy troops can pick up your weapons, but 99 times out of 100 if you are USMC and you hear the SAW letting rip behind you and rounds flying past you, you assume it's one of your team members supporting you and if a mercenary unit had weapons of the regimented sides that were used then people could no longer trust just their hearing but confirmed eyesight and radio messages. this would increase the skill level required and lead to some interesting incidents.

We have no current plans to model another team beyond the British forces. We're going to finish the GB team, then evaluate options in the future, but a Northern Irish team and conflict is not on the priority list.

not that it think it should be made anyway but they could have some "advanced" weapons like M16s and barrets

But then you'd have to model Black and Tans, too.

I still belive a rebel team would add some depth to the gameplay, so you not fighting the same army all the time, the good thing about Rebels is they are easy to create due to not high level skins and crappy weaponary (some which can be just knicked from other armies e.g the AK-101) and also the versatility i mean you cant fight British v US that often but all armies fight rebels, what you think?
