also i dont know if you know this allready (probaly not as you are a new mapper) but you need to genrate your low detial maps.

Take a look at the tutorials for 3ds Max. Since Gmax is just a cut down version of 3ds, it's all more or less the same.

Er and also could anyone explain to me light maps??? why can't I see shadowns in my game?
Or can you just not see them in the editor...and when i set the txture detail thing to low...well it became really weird are those for just how you view the map in the editor...or is the map low detailed in the game? |
