Yep, perhaps also make it act as a mobile aid/resupply station. More incentive to keep it or attack it.

Statics and models are coming soon. Heck, who says one of these isn't already planned/in the pipeline? It doesn't need to be a vehicle, just look at bridges. Instead of a destroyable bridge, you have a destroyable bunker which anyone can repair. Just gotta make sure "bridge is down!" isn't played everytime one gets blown up.

wow this isnt like the old PR forums im used to. 5 posts on this in 20 minutes. NikovK the clipping king, make this happen man, i know you could make this static with a single in game sandbag on the editor if you dedicated enough time to it heheh. BUt thanks for the replys guys.

I don't know if this is possible, or if possible it might even need to be a different game type, but, it would be cool if there were certain flags each team held at the start of the match that had one of these bunkers next to it, and the flag could not be taken until the bunker was destroyed,,, likewise, the original flag holding team could not take the flag back again unless they repaired the bunker.....

I don't think a "blow up the bunker" gamemode would be realistic to be honest... Destroyable statics aren't that much of a big deal, we already have destroyable fences, and these would have to be seldom too because otherwise we end up with major lag. I hate playing games that brag about destroyable walls when it only works on the one or two walls in the whole level that they've applied it to, I distinctly remember a PS2 game with that.
The occasional destroyable static thrown about the map would probably be cool. |

we have some destroyable walls, but will need to be careful about using them. don't appear to have any lag effect, but the main concern is that it's rather ghey when only a couple of sections are destroyable.
So mappers will need to go all or nothing for a particular wall type imo. And use them "purposefully". WRT destroyable statics, these will more than likely be used as objectives. |
