I can only take so much people. As Top_Cat suggested you need to stay on topic and stop flaming each other. It is counter productive and will only get you removed from the community.

The main purpose, in my eyes, for adding civilians in help project reality seem, well quite bluntly, more real. THis means adding debth and belivability to a highly static and almost sterile levels.
The BF2 physic engine and animation is very limited , unable to create many large destrucatble objects or small details such as soldier climbing in and out of vehilces. Therefore any plausable (good chance of working, with in engine limits) suggestion to make the world more believable is of great importance and as we see today, one such idea is being considered very carefully. As mentioned above we need to consider 3 major pointS: - there appearance - there behaviour - there role The appearance of them is very critical to making them seem belivable. They must look as though they live there, and not stick out like. This means there cloths must refeclt there culture and the landscape. There role overall has been stated above but could they be included into a gametype?? BELOW are some of my own ideas for possible gametypes/ senarios: A simple convoy mission, to rescue not a single person but a large number of civilians. This could fit perfectly with the current INSURGENT;'s idea, with Insurgents trying to capture or kill a number of civilians while Allied forces must rescue them. OR EVEN BETTER a hostage type senario with say 4 groups of civilians being held in a location aroudn a map. With the Insurgents having to keep them captive for a time limit while the Allied forces have to free them. Allied points go down while the Ins hodl the hostages, they however go down less quickly as more hostages (civilians) are free. FOr the Allies to win they must release all the hostages WHILE for the Ins to win they must hold atleast (min) 1 of the hostages groups for a period of time - time it takes for Allieds tickets to reach 0. |

My main concearn with adding bots is the the LAG issue. As my example in the shout box indicates, try playing a co-op game with more than 4 real people in it. It just doesn't work that well and is super laggy.
