it wont be possible to add a attribute to the weaponkits so that u can collect it OR just use it as a weapon-specific ammunition supply if u wont collect it? |

I think you should only be able to swap out your primary weapon. but you have to keep all your equipment that you chose to spawn with.
Would be more realistic that way as picking up a rifle would be more realistic than emptying all your pockets, placing these items in to a small bag and then filling your pockets with all the items you pick up. If you wanted to do this but be realistic it would take you a good minute to switch all your kit over. |

But BF2 doesn't support this, and even if the above is implemented, it will cause heavy lag, and require changes to the files that control kit items. It may result in you getting kicked by PB the instant you pick up a weapon for having modified game files.

if these kits have a resupply function you will have to wait till ur filled up a
picked up kit . so u would pick up an empty kit everytime u've switched one and would have to resupply at ur old kit lying on the floor. this would simulate the situation that u have to pick up AND resupply which will take longer than before. the other advantage would be that u wont be able to play with two kits cause the dropped one would be empty. so nobody could use e.g. a assault- and at-kit in parallel. i think that would be the most realistic way the BF2 engine could properly handle this kit-problem picked up kit: empty (perhaps only the loaded ammo would be usable) dropped kit: resupply-function |

the best way to prevent wrong resupply would be a kit-specific resupply-attribute which indicates the ammo of the kit.
For example: at-kit-user wont be able to resupply at any kit except the same kit which also has missiles. but this feature would be utopistic. |

We tried to do ammo types for the resupply, but it didn't work. we'll probably take another crack at it in the future tho.

Would it be possible to have the kits stay after people die? It is unrealistic to have weapons disappear after they have been dropped. I realize that there are framerate concerns but this change should have no significant impact on framerates because vehicles already stay around after they are destroyed without impacting framerates.

have you ever tried to take off your tactical sling off quicly.. it doesnt happen. the only way you could take another weapon off some one else is to cut the strap before you get shot. If you pick up ammo it takes a while to collect it...

Perhaps a 10 second kit pickup delay should be introduced, with a status bar to show progress and the inability to use any weapons until it has completed.
