APC Tactics!
If you've ever played with me, and I get my hands on an APC and a capable squad you'll find that if you are on my team you win, and i have many many kills and few deaths. This is simple to achieve with some basic teamwork and understanding of the APC. -ALWAYS be an eng if you are going to be driving an APC. You have to baby your vehicle, it's an important asset and can decide how easily you will capture your next flag. -To make the most out of your APC, have a squad with an assualt, medic, AT, support, and another eng, this enables you to re-arm and heal any friendly squads you come across. -When driving have your squad have their eyes open, if they spot movement, stop, identify it, and destroy it. -When approaching a flag, let your troops out about 20 meters ahead of you, if you are only encountering other infanty, stick back, press X and zoom in, and change to your HEAP rounds (big explosion, for taking out soft targets) and give your squad covering fire. As you have eliminated the surrounding threats, move in next to the flag. -Anytime you are damaged, immediatly drive behind of cover, get behind of your APC and repair it, or have your eng repair it, it only takes 1-2 rockets to take you out. -When in a convoy APC should be in front of humvees, but behind of tanks. -SABOT works best against vehicles, and HEAP works best against infantry and helis. -You only have 3 TOW missles, use them wisely, save them for other heavy armour, or a heli, never waste them on a heavy jeep. -keep in mind that when you are reloading the TOW missle, that you cannot zoom in. -You are not MENT to take out tanks with your APC, NEVER face a tank head on. If you do happen to come across a tank, tell your men to hop out and take cover, no point in having all 6 of you go down in flames with a well placed tank round, when you can divert its attention. -When facing a tank head on (say you just ran into him on accident) GTFO!! (Get The Fuck Out!) of there! fire a TOW into it, drop smoke and take cover. Unless the tank is already damaged, or has a horrible driver, it will kill you. -This is where your AT guy comes in, have him hop out and lay another round into the tank. -Once away from the tank, know its position and get ready to attack. You want to come up on its rear, and if you cant, pull out slowly, lay on him with your SABOT rounds, wait for him to fire his cannon, dodge the shot, or take it like a man, let off a TOW missle, then disengage combat and get yourself repaired. -If you come up on a tanks rear, let a TOW missle right into their rear, and if they don't blow up instantly, lay some SABOT rounds into his rear until you see his cannon start to turn towards you, retreat once it gets close. Much more to come! And in a more organized order as well, and you can use my name on the site. |

I'll end up writing something up about infantry movement/flanking/AAS.
EDIT: Or i could do the simple stuff - movement, fire, all the first stuff. |

What's the best way to take screenshots? I hear people say use Battlerecorder because you can record yourself and use a third person view. I can probably turn up my graphics settings and resolution if I do that seeing as graphic lag is no problem if I'm not in game. Does anyone have any help on setting any of that up?

I don't care do whatever.
.3 medic guide 1. Always wait for cover before running out into the open to revive anyone. 2. Defibs only work with a direct chest shot. 3. The Medic has light armor so use cover well 4. You are not assault or support therefore you are not the forward attacking troop. 5. If possible have the injured solider come to you. 6. Never, Never run out into the open under fire just to do a prone revive then die 7. Use smoke to provide cover for reviving 8. Use common sense use cover, heal behind cover and ask for covering fire if necessary. 9. The medic weapon due to low ammo count is best used in single shot mode unless you are up close and personal. 10. The medic is a very important member of the squad act like it. 11. When a bunch of people go down revive the SL first. 12. Make sure that your SL isn’t bleeding or wounded first before attacking enemies 13. Your job is keeping your squad healthy when that is done then you can provide cover fire and the like. 14. Basically use common sense deal with medic duties then cover fire duties then attacking duties. 15. Always remember medic first, attacker second. 16. Medpacks take a while to work 17. When someone gets revived they are at half health make sure you get them up to at least ¾ quarter health before moving on. rough medic guide. |
