Yes, it does not affect it in any way, other than changing the texture. You will not receive an MD5 mismatch or a PB ban.

Well I screwed it up and forgot to back up the old files just in case. Would someone mind uploading the original files, I don't feel like reinstalling BF2.
Edit: Scratch that, it didn't overwrite them, I have both sets of files in there is all. |

Guys, dont unzip the objects_client.zip.... only unzip the textures.zip you downloaded... just OPEN the zip and browse to the files I mentioned and drag the files from texture.zip into the same folder IN the zip.. so it will prompt you to "add and replace" the files in the zip... no need to unzip and rezip the whole objects_client

The thing is, I did exactly that, took the files from the downloaded zip and put them in the old zip's textures folder and it just put the new files in WITH the old. Didn't prompt an overwrite.
I had to manually remove the old files. |

They are named the same thing, so how are they co-existing with the others?
