Needs to be expanded, so no as it's too small unless for 32 players.

@ Mao, I don't think it would fit the gameplay anymore, the engagement distance is so much longer now and in Mao you were usually fighting only like 20 metres apart.

Mao was the only map, where I LOL'd when an enemy squad went past me and I was 1 m next to them.

I spawned as Spec Op on it once, placed Slams all over a PLA defended flag in hopes of blowing them to pieces before they notice me, but they all got naded in 10 seconds then friendlies came all over the CP just as the Slams went off giving me a bunch of TKs

[R-DEV]Gaz: Shout "WE R L33TZ" at the MD, sucker punch him, then teabag him while shouting "WHO OWNS YA? WHO OWNS YA? SAY OUR NAME! IGI! IGI! IGI! OFP2 Beta plz?"

Helmand was just too small.

Make a bigger version or just let it be replaced by a new generation of cool maps

Yes. It was a fun map. Infantry only is good once in a while.

Ongoing PR Projects:

No.
I think a better substitute could be made.
Perhaps a 4K map, Brit insurgency, with very similar terrain to Helmand?
Land rovers and Merlins for the GB.
