40 Commando unit, Looking for a new CO.
Hello All,
Firstly I would like to say that Brummy has not left the unit, in a few weeks time he will deploying to Iraq for a year, so he has not left, and im sure we will all wish him the best of luck. As he is deployin, he will, unfortunately be leaving the unit. I would like to ask, European members of the Project Reality community to come forward, and assume Brummy's old position. We would like a mature individual, who understands where we want to take this unit, and how to achieve this. If you are interested PM me, or add me on xfire: recruiter7id. Thanks for reading, Warrant Officer 1t Class, Luke Murphy. |

Yea Good Luck to Brummy! While Im inclined to think about it I agree with Jonny. Isnt it a lot easier if the next in rank simply steps up and fills the position? That way he knows everyone, he knows all internal affairs and knows what Brummy had in mind with the 40 COMMANDO unit

40C is one of these kind of groups. So if this structure is absent then something went wrong somewhere. | |

Or...you could just let them sort themselves out instead of using one of their own threads to imply that they are somehow inferior?

Re: 40 Commando unit, Looking for a new CO.
They asked for help.
My question about why they cannot take the logical course of action is not, therefore, an insult of any kind. FYI our first captain resigned due to lack of time a long while ago, so I have first hand experiance with this sort of thing. Why should I not attempt to help? The (apparent) lack of a designated XO is a problem in this kind of clan. Now please allow us to talk about this without implying they are inferior/weaker/etc. Thankyou. |

Yea I didnt get any inferior vibe from your post. I was just wondering about the same thing.
So thread starter: What kind of work is the new CO gonna do? |

Re: 40 Commando unit, Looking for a new CO.
Guys, Murphy had his reasons not to follow the chain of command. Anyway, if you're really interested just ask Murphy and he will or may not explain, and yes we thought of putting up the next one in the chain of command, and we're still considering it.
The CO will just have to look after the clan a bit, see if they act properly, etc. I had no real intention with the clan except to keep it not to 'realistic'. There's still a fun aspect of it all without we all needing to act like we're soldiers. That's my opinion anyway. As CO you will further just take care of how the site, server will be obtained and run. Anyway, if you're generally interested and like to have more information, just PM Murphy (Marine94). |
