Organization

Hi PR People,

I am in the process of building up a PR Team called ODA 574, based off of the actual ODA 574 U.S. Army Special Forces Team. My current organization plan is sketchy at best ( Here is a forum thread about plans ) By the way, that is my forum, but I am learning to make a website.

I was hoping to keep this team as close to only infantry as possible. Here is a possible method of organizing that I have come up with:

Detachment Commander
Assistant Detachment Commander and Team Sergeant
Intelligence Sergeant
Everyone Else

In game, I was hoping to be able to split up into 2 squads. Alpha Squad having the Detachment Commander and Assistant Detachment Commander as leaders and Bravo Squad being led by the Team Sergeant and the Intelligence Sergeant. The reason for a second in command for each squad is that he will take over the squad in case the squad leader is "indisposed" for whatever reason.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone else had a better way to organize the team. Meaning either a different chain of command, or even adding a layer of command (Basically making a regular member position a position of authority). All help is appreciated!

Keep it simple is all I have to say. Don't overcomplicate things.

Don't believe in using real organization.
Just only if we could command only 3 people at a time like in "Fire" squads and "Assault" squads. "Fire" squads to suppress an enemy and the "assault" squad flanks around.

Organistion? What's that?

Dosn't usually work that well having ranks etc tbh, just results in there being a very small amount of people thinking they're very uber leet and better than everyone else and all the other members feeling second rate and pointless when the fact is usually half of them can do a better job than the folk with the "cool" names

We have a God that is Epoch, Bean Counter in Commando, I've appointed myself as brainwasher and so on However in game there's no real Hierarchy

In the team, each person will be specialist in their job (weapons sergeant, medical sergeant, etc), so no one should be feeling worse because everyone has a different job . I don't want this to be a hierarchy, but I do want the team to have a commander and so on.

Over at DM, we have a council system. We are the gods of the clan, each with a specialized role.

I,for example, handle the public relations of the clan and that is my responsibility.

I am nothing in DM. I do what I'm told. Nothing else.




But looks like a good idea, get some mates together over xfire to establish a solid ground to hold it all togther, then go around playing, and you will get members

Make sure you CONSTANTLY evaluate each persons place, its hard to do sometimes you must be willing to demote the people you like if they are not doing as well as someone else.

You are not a leader because you want to be, you are a leader because you have to be.
