Hi there

I am looking for a gaming group/Clan that plays PR.

I am a team player and don´t mind switching kits at all as long as it benefits the team.

I will not use the VoIP because it´s crappy. I am set up for Teamspeak and can be set up for Ventrilo easily. Crystal clear audio from my side thanks to studio equipment being used

I am 25 years old, single father living in iceland. I speak fluent english. I am an American but been living in iceland for almost all my life.

I play PR because of it´s realism. Bunny jumpers, dolphin divers, single man flag capturing...thankfully a thing of the past!

Teamwork is what I am about. Following strategy, organization and leadership is what makes gaming alittle bit more real for me. Will I walk into the line of fire because my SL says so? Yes I will because I trust that the SL has a plan set out! Supression fire, bottleneck strategy... The whole issue of strategy is something I live by and abide too. With organization and strategy nothing is impossible!

GMT+1 usually. I play quite frequently, 4+ days a week if not more depending on session lengths and real life.

Active forums, teamspeak/ventrilo, clan matches, practise/training sessions... What more can a guy ask for hehe

TAW is looking for new members, We have almost 700 members playing roughly 16 games. We train twice a week but aim for a balance of fun and teamplay. Just because we train doesn't mean we're "elite," we're not.

We have a 500 slots teamspeak server, we are going to have bi-weekly matches in the near future. We also have active forums and a 64 slots server.

I checked out the webpage. TAW has a section for Battlefield 2 and 2142 but I don´t see a mod section, a PR section if you will.

I also counted the Battlefield roster with 29 members. Of course that number might be bigger. Are all of those PR players? Or are they both PR and BF:2+ players?

I like the concept of COC as it shows structure so that is a plus.

The teamspeak server is a great feature!

Multi-gaming is of course how many "clans" survive now-a-days. I myself have played Eve Online, WoW, Everquest 2, BF2, BF2142 and so on. But as of lately I tend to stay away from games where logic and strategy fails heavily and the question of gold/isk has alot to do with progress. In FPS the skill and training are what count not how much you had to spend to get to where you are. Not at all knocking MMO´s. I love them! Just stating that multi-gaming clans are a great thing!

The only issue I have is the low member count in the PR section as I don´t play BF:2 nor BF:2142 because of hackers, bunny jumpers, dolphin divers, single man cap flagging and non-structural rambo style playing of many! Of course there are always some bunny jumpers and any other strangely played characters around but they are a dying breed expecially with PR since it´s doing a great job in the simulation of real all out war!

I could of course be totally wrong about the member count since it says that the Battlefield division is the biggest in TAW. But what do I know hehe

We have 3 different areas you can choose to join. The first one is our infantry platoon, secondly our Armour Troop and last but not least our Air Squadron. You are advised to join the one you feel suites you the best. Where appropriate these have their own specialised training and we also one training a week where the whole unit gets together. There is no problem if you miss some trainings, as we prioritize real life over gaming and we are very understanding whatever your situation.

Requirements:
we require you to be over 16 years of age (Or as/more mature than the average current member).
We require you to have a microphone at the time you join.
You must have played PR for at least 2 weeks.
You must be a good teamplayer.

We play many other games apart from PR when we feel like a change, however we do not require that you play them.

THE 40 COMMANDO UNIT

The 40 Commando Unit is a renewal of an older unit with the same name, and is now under the new leadership of "Brummy" and 2LT J.West. We are a mostly European unit who focuses on sharpening our skills and playing together on public servers. As we are pretty new we mostly consist of recruits and we do alot of training on tactics, weaponry and teamwork. Members is something we need, and we are recruiting mostly european players. American players can also apply as long as they fit into our timezones and are awake at our times.
