The PRL has launched a Scrims "ladder". It is essentially a scrim arranging area on the site - not a competition ladder. Whether you call them battles, clan wars, scrimmages, or something else, they are friendly battles between two teams/units/clans. This is a tool for clan or team leaders, unit CO's, or war arrangers to organize battles of any size with other PR teams.
![]() The Project Reality League also runs two competition ladders: the 6v6 (infantry skirmishes on small maps) and the 9v9+ (larger PR battles up to 32v32 in size on large maps with vehicles). Those are competition ladders with persistent rankings, records kept, and a rigid format and rules. In contrast, the Scrims ladder is not actually a ladder, but simply a scrim arranging area. The rules for the ladder are very relaxed and can be summed up as "Use common sense and be respectful". Teams agree on whatever settings, maps, time limits, format or arrangements that they want. Teams can also agree on any specialized rules they want (such as no attacking uncaps). The idea here is that the teams do what they want, the scrims ladder is just here to bring the teams together in one place and help them set up battles. You can even challenge many teams at the same time and have several matches in the works. Also, there's no pressure for your team to be "ready" or have enough people and time to play every team that challenges you; if your team is busy, you can simply decline a challenge. The site creates a match page for each match where team leaders can communicate with each other about scheduling, server IP's, etc. The ladder looks like this: ![]() The only record that is kept is who played who when, and how many battles each team has played in. It does not record who won, nor does it record the score. The most active teams rise to the top of the ladder so that people know who is more active. The Rating is based solely on Games Played, not games won, because in a scrim arranging area knowing which teams are the most active is helpful in deciding who to challenge for your next battle. Every PR team that wants to play more organized battles of varying sizes against other PR teams should definitely sign up for this ladder. If you have questions or want to know how to sign up, check the PRL Guide first since it answers most things. We all know PR is a great game, now let's revitalize the PR clan/team/unit community and get the frequent battles flowing! |

Looks very cool Bludshot. Keep up the great work. I'd suggest also posting on the PRT Forums and seeing if teams would want to register in the downtime between Campaigns?

Re: Project Reality Scrims "Ladder" / War Arranging area
Why dont we try to get the Russia v Europe scrim going. between RIP and HEROS, Im pretty sure we can get 32 reliable players no problem for the Europe side, and why dont we try and organise this thru the prleague, surely this will help attract clans to it.

Re: Project Reality Scrims "Ladder" / War Arranging area
Can we post all the scrims a Community (Tactical Gamer) has played. I know that we are not in the PRL, but we have played some really LARGE battles over the past couple years and would like to get post the results.

Re: Project Reality Scrims "Ladder" / War Arranging area
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but, basically the Scrim ladder will record a history of all the matches played *on* it (it's already recording them). You couldn't just add in more matches to the history that have already happened in the past outside of the PRL, because they wouldn't link through properly and all that (and there's really no mechanism to do that even if you wanted to).
What you can do is just include a link in your team profile to your overall team history, if you have some kind of match history page on your website for example. Does that pretty much answer your question? The PRL Scrims ladder only records scrims that were arranged via the PRL Scrims ladder. But, I should say, if you guys join it and play a couple scrims and it says you've played only 2 scrims so far, I think that's alright. People are still going to know that your team has played other battles in the past before this scrim ladder existed. Also, if you joined, you could post your previous battle record on the PRL Scrims Forum for example, to say "Hey look at our history, who's next? :P that kind of thing. |

Re: Project Reality Scrims "Ladder" / War Arranging area
We've already got 7 teams signed up for this, including: 13thMEU, WNP, ABA, HeroS, RIP, and UAGames. All these teams are ready to battle your team right now.
