no, to expensive and unlikely that they have pilots, but the militia could perhaps use it one some maps

Thanks for the links. The way Im learning 3d is from these to tutorials:

3ds Max Resources | Tutorials | Modeling 1951 Mercedes Benz bus in 3ds Max - Part one - Page 7

ftp://ftp.futurenet.com/pub/arts/tut..._model_grb.pdf

The first one is great as its totally step by step for beginners, and although its for a bus, its all transferable for a heli.

The second one is a bit too advanced at the moment, but its still been usefull for one or two things.

I started another model ( again ) last night as I understand how the mesh works a bit better now. Hopefully I wont have to scrap another one!

Its funny you mention the Bell 206 for the militia ( which I agree with frag is unrealistic ) The 407 a development of the 206, and the 407 is the basis of the new US Army ARH ( Little bird/OH-58D Kiowa replacement ). I was thinking of modelling the ARH, but theres no suitable reference shots and there isnt a final design yet so it cant be done. The US Army will be taking delivery of it from next year ( If they dont have any more problems )
