[Question] Texturing

Well I'm getting into texturing, and have got okay at doing it, but what do i do like next, as I don't have a model or anything to do, even if it has already been textured, does anyone have a model which I could practice on or something similar?? Sorry if this is completely nubby! Im usually on xfire so if you want to contact me its

You can have a go on my mosque if you like, It's not really finished but could be good practice.
It's based on the Friday Mosque in Herat Afghanistan.

If you want to just edit skins that are already ingame, you'll need Photoshop, and the nVidia tools, which can be found here:

Adobe Photoshop Plug-ins

Those let you open and save .dds images, which are what the textures are saved as for the game.

I think you can do stuff with the GIMP as well, which is free. let me have a look.

EDIT: yeah, here is a DDS plugin for the GIMP:
