Hey Just finished my first Static Model, I was thinking one thing that makes all Bf2 City maps a bit samey, is boring pavement objects. So I thought I'd make a new set... I plan to make lots of different bits like corners and ends...
Anyways this is my first attempt let me know what you think,
btw it's
5.12 m long
2 m wide
.5m deep (so it can be sunk to different levels.)

Re: [Static Model] New Sidewalk

Looks good so far but it doesn't look finished.

I'm fairly sure the wall next to it has a bump map, you can see the specularity bouncing off the edges. The texture you've used/made looks nice but seems a little flat. The dark grooves between the tiles could use a bit of depth via bump mapping.

Also, the joins are a bit dodgy.

Good start tho.

Edit: I'm not sure how relevant my post is now. Is that bump mapping I see since you've updated the image?

Re: [Static Model] New Sidewalk

Make it EXACTLY 5m long, otherwise its difficult to place so it lines up perfectly.

Do a few more pieces and fit them together, then we can see what its possible to make with them.

Other than that and whats already been said, I want to see these in v0.8, to make a change from the vBF2 pavements.

Ballistics + Zeroing
!!!Nedlands1 for [R-CON]!!! (Done)

yeah looking good , Keep it up !

round numbers help in the mapping process a lot though,
A 5.12M pavement will look a bit odd next to a 5M wide static object for example.

These things are really good additions. Great mate!
I'll give you a prize if you can make a transparent ramp for it!
