Another issue:
minimap not competed, still missing the road to the UK base and a few houses.

Also:

this building is too high, I couldn't walk inside it in v0.8

v0.8 or v0.85, all the pr village objects have been removed out of v0.85

Also the minimap will be redon to look more map like. I leave for a 4 day vacation so you wont see any updates until Wednesday.

So it has been, anyway, your undergrowth is realy screwed up I think. I set it to draw at 70m and it only appears at 44. Dont know if this is a general thing but its not good. The map STILL lags like crap with the low undergrowth view distance, so something else is up too because I think that should have fixed it according to information in this thread. It could be the amount of objects, but there doesn't seem to be that many. If its none of the above then the view distance is too high, but 700 does not seem that much to me.

Humm I dont know what the lag is from. I was able to run the server and a game and I never went below 50 fps.

I'm not sure if you downloaded the current version but went through and changed a bunch of stuff which should speed things up

Map stats:
Static Objects 897
Unique Objects 71
mesh memory 171610 in editor
<- This could be a reason for lag

Undergrowth
View Distance 210

Optimizations :
+ Undergrowth has been reduced and set to 220
+ Destroyable objects now replaced with static
+ Light maps sizes have been cut from 2048 to 512



I did find some settings for the undergrowth that went out wrong, but it should effect that much.

When I get back next week I'll take a look at a few things and see what I can do.

Heres me running the server and game (two different apps)

This is why I not experiencing and sorta lag. I guess I'll boot up an older computer and see what I get.

Intel core2duo @ 3.0ghz
3 GB memory
Geforce 8800 GTS
BF2 and Server set on different procs (affinity 1 & 2)

KHARA V0.88 - Change List

This version will play correct and is not much further away from being final

Features:
British vs Insurgents.
Northern Afghanistan based map.
Fight from lush poppie crops to high Afghanistan hills.
Long and hard mountain pass the British will have to travel.
British Outpost with sniper rifle over looking the valley.
Many mountain trails.

British Goals
Push the Insurgents out of the valley. Only then can the British receive [Apache] air power. Then proceed into the mountains and find the Insurgent base.

Insurgents Gaols
The British have been cutting down valuable poppie fields. With nothing to lose attack the British outpost and keep the valley clean of the British army.

Map:
+ Undergrowth has been re-optimized
+ Newer light map and optimized
+ Surrounding Map has finally been fixed and light

Game play:
+ More houses have been placed in the hills
+ Insurgent random rally points have been mixed up

Visual:
+ Undergrowth has been set to a good distance

*Issues
- Sometime you can see hole in the land mesh (BF2 problem)
- Tress need a good randomization on there rotations (all look the same direction).

Feel free to host it and play it. There wont be any updates until the middle of next week.
