The other option for MADPADS, which would be useful on something like a vs Russia mission, is that a placeholder could have been borrowed last minute like the first Leopard 2A6s. The deal was that Canada would borrow 20 Leopards from Germany and part them right into the field. At first the plan was to give them back, but instead some of the used ones from elsewhere were send back and we keep the first 20. The idea could be carried over since most of the missions in Arma 2 are made up and would have Canada facing air threats for the first time since the Cold War.

At the moment were currently in the model stage of smaller weapons such as the C7, C8, C9 and M72LAW, vehicles aren't even in the picture at the moment and are just a dream in our eyes. We still have 100s of basic things to do before we think about vehicles, to be honest i tell the team and log what you and the community think and suggest but at the moment it isn't a big concern nothing there is written in stone. The team isn't that large and we only have 4 people, me, nuke, easy and ledo1222. We understand that you want the faction to be done correct and to accuracy but we don't have the man power to take a leap ahead and start any vehicles. By the way if you wanted to know the first vehicles that will probably be done is the LAV III and the Chinook. The most needed thing right now on the team would be a texturer and of course community suggestions. Also thanks for the info about the leopards.

I'm not saying to stop making suggestions about stuff related to the faction but to try and suggest things that are currently in development or that are in our reach. Just gonna say it again to anyone new reading this were always recruiting new people for the team and love you`re feedback and suggestions.

It's been about a month since we started development and we aren't a Dead faction or stuck in the design stage. We have a bunch of photos of our progress that we share privately and will hopefully be released mid to late april to share our progress with the public. It will probably be posted on an external website until we get a subforum were we can post as many pictures as we want without flooding this this thread with pictures. Also I'm going to try and post a update every couple weeks to keep the comunity interested and aware of our development. Hopefully it makes the development seem less private and more open to the community for suggestions and feedback.

As usual were always recruiting and love the Communities feedback. Were looking for other modelers, texturers, coders & etc. If you want to join the team just post here in the thread or pm me personally. Don't forget its a comunity faction and anyone can contribute even if you don't want to join the team or whatever. You can view the design doc here

Well, isn't this a surprise. Last time I posted I assumed this thread would be dead and locked within weeks,
but no this seems to actually go somewhere. I wish you all the best of luck.

Seems like an awesome Idea ( Even though I dont play Arma 2 :P) But dont do the same mistake that PR did and give them a chinook because in reality Canadians use the Griffon for transport Bell CH-146 Griffon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This heli replaces 4 helis in the Canadian military
the CH-136 Kiowa in the observation role, the CH-135 Twin Huey in the army tactical role, the CH-118 Iroquois in the base rescue role and the heavy lift CH-147 Chinook.

If you fix this from PR I might just buy arma 2 to fly the PROPER helicopter.
