That is the most successful paradrop i have seen. And Props to you for performing it. Yet i still think that paradrops are only necessary when there are not any skillful pilots around.
If i were in that situation and i had a good pilot in my use i would have told the pilot to fly low from the West and told him to land behind the hill to West of your Rally point in the video. Parachutes always ask for unnecessary attention. Anyways good job on pulling that one off. |

The major problem with flying in is the chopper is rendered at far distances where as the player is not, also parachutes are not really a problem as if you deploy low enough the enemy has no chance in spotting you, it also produces no noise so that's another bonus.
So it doesn't matter how good a chopper pilot is he will always come against the barriers of noise and visibility. |

I partially agree with that. But if you are a real good chopper pilot you can minimise exposure to the level the enemy will barely notice you. But that requires full knowledge about the island you are playing on and extreme low level skills and terrain masking.
I did many insertions in Arma 2 PvP games where i could put the chopper realy close to the enemy without them even knowing i was there. Good hint: "Alway's" (depends on situation offcourse) fly back the way you came in. So after insertion dont think your job is done and make a high alltitude egress. But stay low and use terrain masking again to get out of the area. |

"Why do they even try to invade, why do they try to conquer? Why do they risk everything for such a small dominance? Because war is all they know, and without war they have no meaning for life, no meaning for the future. They are born into a world of such violence, and ignorance. The final battle is near, and their annihilation is at its peak. We are coming, and our numbers will darken your skies, you cannot run, you cannot hide.

Yesterday, I, Holmes, hopped into some Huey after grabbing a parachute. They were acting as CAS with missiles, they didn't even know I was in it. I ended up ejecting from a high altitude (they had just started a missile strafe on some distant ground target).
Opening my chute close to the ground I noticed 2 enemies on opposite sides of a building (The big bank sort of chernarus building with like 4 stories.) By some miracle they didn't notice me and I killed both of them individually, the 2nd one I killed had a Strela AA and I killed him 2 seconds after he fired the missile, fortunately the helicopter team used flares. |
