Also bandaging yourself is actually a very difficult thing to do ... its not like it is in the movies. A trained nurse on our team actually questioned how effective self bandaging would be.

My first aid training is quite basic, so I can't say much. I would ask one of my combat medic friends (I's funny I have about 5 of those who are or have been combat medics in the IDF...) about self-bandaging and the likes, but let's face it - first aid in PR is already by design very arcade-like and is for gameplay/teamplay purposes only, and is in no way even trying to be realistic (that I can say even with my limited first aid knowledge).

+1 for OP.
I also think this would promote more people to take the medic role within a squad. Testing out that new 'sponge bath' kit Helix? Huh? *wink, wink* Huh! *nudge, nudge* |

Actually it seems like a great way to bandage in a handful of whatever kind of surface you're currently lying on.

For starters, in real life you also wouldn't be able to start running or shoot flawlessly after bandaging your gunshot wound, if you're even supposed to bandage it (if the bullet is inside at least, applying a bandage can just cause more damage).

I could imagine that most of the time when bandaging myself up I would be sitting down. And there is a animation for sitting down and some hand waving in A2, iirc. So perhaps that could be one way to treat yourself and not that get that exposed.
