Possible, yes, but making them and allowing them to be properly destructible takes work. And of course if they are high quality then there is the performance cost too. I still wish they would at least try to do something along these lines though.

Yep, that's exactly the kinda thing I think that PR needs to balance out maps like Takistan.

These maps have their threads at BIS forums started by authors usually.

Let's PM the authors asking to submit their work to the mod forum section here on PR forums.

Those authors make the mods with the intent that anyone who wants to use them can use them. They don't even limit mirroring them. Editing them, on the other hand, would require some permission requests. But just using should not be a problem as long as the PR team change their mind about "only in-house made stuff".

i do not rate Arma2 Fallujah map it a bit big there better maps out there.like the great

Mana Island Fiji
just think about a beach landing to capture the island using pr mod of A/S
Here a few picture as there is a LHD In game and use the Harrier and boats





and the next island would be the great
Island Lingor





both very good maps

Mana is nice but will be hard to place a main base there in a way that won't suck. It's just too small.

Lingor is nice though might be a bit too "open" for PR needs. But definitely one of the (much) better options out there.

The goal of having only in-house is a good one. But untill PR has a few of it's own working maps, why not use one or two of good existing ones. Like Lingor yes.
In bf2pr we were playing original bf2 maps for a long time. Don't think this need to be any diffrent.

Use the best current maps, then faze them out (if needed) alongside us getting new in-house ones.

This would IMO be win for all players.

I always thought Old Bears Brik2 was perfect for largish PVP/TVT, maybe just lacking in any real urban area apart from a small village, but the southern part of the map has the best terrain for infantry fighting ive ever seen in an Arma map.
