Default #22 - Main base medical facilities

All to often people get injured in main bases. Whether it's someone accidentally throwing a grenade, or getting run over, or even just alt-tabbing back in game and accidentally slotting someone in the head (I do this to Deadfast whenever I get the chance). It seems the main base can - strangely - often be more dangerous than the front line!

If you do get injured in base, previously you either had to beg for a medic to fully heal you (often futile), or simply suicide and respawn. There is a spawn delay and ticket cost with this.

With this in mind, we've amended all stock missions and included a 'medical facility' in each main base. Depending upon the mission, this may be a small MASH tent, a large 'field hospital' tent, or even just a building near the spawn. In each case, the facility will have a wooden medical supplies box in front of it as a means of identifying its purpose.

If you are injured, simply get yourself to the medic facility and choose 'Heal' from the action menu. If you're badly injured (unconscious) then clearly you need a player to at least heal you enough to get you walking first, but once you manage to get yourself to the medical facility you can fully heal.


List of stock missions and their medical facilities:(colour-coded for blufor/opfor where there are differences)

Eagle Claw: field hospital tent
First Light: MASH
Operation Taking Candy: field hospital tent
Zargabad Uprising: field hospital tent camp tent
Iron Forge: field hospital tent
Portside: medical supply box near flag field hospital tent
Battle for Rasman: field hospital tent
Feruz Abad Resistance: field hospital tent medic supply box/house near flag
Green Zone: field hospital tent box/house near trucks
Serpent's Spine: MASH
Operation Sisyphus: field hospital tent MASH
Endless Blood: MASH
Battle for Sobor: field hospital tent MASH
Operation Chainsaw: MASH
Gorka: MASH field hospital tent
Take Down: MASH
Electricity: field hospital tent
Strength & Honor: MASH

I would like to see this on PR as well. For example if you manage to crawl back to main base injured, there is absolutely nothing there and you remain as good as dead... I mean, how realistic is that?

Good approach with Arma though

IIRC, if you get to the mainbase repair station, than It starts healing you automatically. But I could be wrong (haven't played PR for months, except 1 time).

atm nothing heals you automatically, its all user interaction.

I think he's referring to PR BF2. I'm think the repair stations instantly heal if you're near them.

Go to a repair station and it will heal you automatically.
