there were 3 distinct changes made for us ground infantery soldiers in the war. First their m14 rifles were replaced by AR15 rifles with a full auto setting, which was later removed. Will we get all 3 versions, maps with soldiers sporting the m14, ar15 full auto and the ar15 with full auto removed or only one of the versions ?

Vietnam wouldn't be complete without the M14/M16 change-up. But I"m guessing It'll probably just have M16's as the norm for the initial build, and have M14's as a reserve weapon that pops up in different kits from time-to-time. | |

Well all three weapons should be in-game, so I would expect it will be more a case of having them spread across different kits on the spawn menu than actual different factions spread across several maps.

You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... " |

PR currently sports the M14 and the early M16. Therefore, it is safe to say that there will be mix ups of weapons and kits sporting both an M14 or M16 as required.

The M14 was semi and fully automatic
The original M16 was semi and fully automatic The M16A1 was also semi and fully automatic To the best of my knowledge those where the weapons most common infantrymen had from '65 - '71 |
