This is why. The maps are huge. one artillery strike every 30min for a map the size of a large american county aint gonna quite cut it. Plus too, if you want to keep the artillary from raping too bad, just make it that there has to be a player physically in the gun firing the weapon. this takes a man off the front, so the commander would have to decide whether he wants that extra in the fight, or the ability to call in some heavy rain. You can give each individual gun like 100 rounds for 1 hr, and put like 3-5 guns in each main base. add in a couple mortar teams, and mobile artillery units, and this'll be one BAMF.

What you just stated there is to much. I think 50 rounds for 1 hour each gun would be enough. with 100 rounds each gun you gonna get raped. I know LOL. I have been on the receiving end and the one firing 5 arty guns. Just made a small FOB with the repair truck in a warfare mode. Build some wall's around my arty pos, put some defenses AA, MG and TOW. And a extra Tank or Bradley protecting it also. I was giving arty support for hours and kept rearming them with a AMMO truck. Sometimes they found me and i had to fight them off.

lol sweetz. yeah i see wut ur saying about the number of rounds, that probably would be better. also, the other thing is that it is MUCH easier to destroy arty than it is on vbf2 (and definately than pr cuz it's isnt even on map XD). i just think that it would add that ever vital third dimension to our ground operation specialties.

Or what you can also do.. and is hopefully implemented with a good system in PR:ARMA2 is MLRS arty.
It's awsome when you 3 or 4 of those YouTube - Arma 2 MLRS Arty Offcourse if they gonna implement civ's in the towns and you will loose points if you kill them you won't want to do this |

yes that would be much better. and if they are drivin around, the team must figure out the logistics of rearming them with a precious ammo truck, as you only have so many so dedicating one to a mlrs launcher isn't practical. and as you said, with civs, it will be scary to arty a city cuz of the hit in points. damn, we should be like the official brainstormers or somethin lol. do u still play a2? if so pm me ur xfire i wunna play w u. i speak english, spanish, and limited russian.
