I've played Arma 2 when the demo was released but couldn't find a hardcopy so i don't have the full version.
Anyways. I loved arma2 for it's AI and COOP. But i find that armas biggest online flaw is AI. Every thing is based off it. I find that playing PR.9 is funner then arma2 because every one, thing you kill will effect a real player. So for PR:Arma2, since I just so happened to find a hard copy 2 days before PR:arma2 was annouced. I wanna know will it be a Player vs PLayer base expirience Or players vs Ai I know right now it's prolly still alot like arma2 vanilla was but will you guys be able to share that portion of the design plan with the PR community. I know fighting masses of un predictable insurgents would be fun but I'd still like having a PLayer vs Player style game with AI in a less important role liek civi's and base def and so on. So will it be Alittle ai and alot of players vs alot of AI Alittle ai and alot of players vs alittle of AI and alot of players? |

I think it is planed to be pvp.
What I would like to see however is pvpvaic. Player vs player vs ai civies. There was some talk about it in another thread somewhere |

Main base personnel civilians could be AI. Which would benefit the whole game alot. But yea i generally agree it should be ONLY PLAYERS FIGHTING unless it's main base personnel on defensive positions around the main base.

good to hear, would be immense if it later stages you could add a significant civ pop for insugency style maps/missions. would add a really good dynamic that unfortunatly i don't think is really feasible on the BF2 engine

well i said feasible rather then impossible because you could technically have a civ pop on BF2, it's just that it'd be bots running around, would take alot of code to get them to act 'normally' and iirc would detract from player count.

Ai for Ground deffence might not be that bad !
Like buildable TOW and .50cal Maybe as a radio operator , if the ennemy kills the operator , there will be communication cuts (CO-SL) |
