When talking about server sizes with PR people, please keep in mind that we are talking about servers running human vs. human type of maps/missions. In PR we are accustomed to broad selection of servers having at least 50 human players on line almost on any given moment.

I've seen those videos about 1.5k AI units, that doesn't impress me much. Show me a public server with more than 32 human players per faction and with at least two factions engaging each other, and you have a slight chance to make me a believer.
heh you ever seen the Berzerk game mode? last time i played, it was 64 vs 64 player mayhem. no organisation whatsoever but mad fun, lol

There was a PvP tournament that reached ~120 players in ArmA 1.

It would be nice to see a PvP, but some "bots" as civilians in the cities and defending bases soldiers.

[R-DEV]Rhino:"I in fact got kicked from a server for tking."
Hitperson:"well done, treasure it forever."
[R-DEV]Rudd:"if a pidgeon lands on the phone line I lose internet for 3 days"
[R-DEV]Chuc:"Pro man, pro."
(yes, it was about me)
[R-MOD]BloodBane611:"Romagnolo, you definitely deserve a LOL award for that."

I would only want the AI in air defense and machine guns at the bases since any large ground force should be seen before it gets to your base.

AI civilians seem great for insurgency style missions since you would never know when a group of civilians has a player among them, or if a car coming around the bend is a civilian driver or a bomb car.

If there are AI civi's running around for the Insurgency mode, then the Collaborator kit might actually be useful. They might actually be able to blend in, but still give intel unlike in PR:BF2

I would love to see civi AI and AI gaurding fobs and some points within cities. but other than that no ai. Plus too, i think that the ai count should be kept to a minimum beacause ive noticed that whenever im playing a gamemode like evolution that is ai intensive, i have a bigger lag than in the pvp domination servers. a difference of about 5 fps, which doesn't sound like a lot, but for me it is the difference between 25 and 20.

I'm fifteen. I don't expect special privileges but be patient. I am slow. Some days more than others.

No I haven't and after reading this I don't even want to see:

Bohemia Interactive Forums - View Single Post - Is Berzerk being transfered to ArmA II
"Berzerk is the classic Capture and Hold (C&H) of ArmA

It is Player v Player (PvP) or more accurately Team v Team (TvT)

1) At the loby you choose, or the admin assigns you to, one of two sides
2) You start with Base Respawn (your only safe respawn).
3) You have a Dialogue from which to choose your basic player weapon loadout.
4) At the base there are several vehicles say:
a) 3 tanks
b) 3 IFV's
c) 2 Helicopters
e) A couple of Armored cars
f) An AA vehicle
(as the vehicles are destroyed in battle they respawn back at the base after some time)
5) You then make for one of several colour marked neutral geographic capture locations.
a) If your team can hold that location for about 30 seconds it switches to your side and your can use it for advance respawn.
b) The marker covering the area now changes to your teams colour as does a flag at that location, only your side can spawn at it while your side hold the location.
c) Each of these capture locations adds to your teams score, for every minute you are there.
d) Each captured location unlocks and spawns extra addons such as better vehicles, tanks, cannons and even jets which you can then use to capture more capture points.
6) Scattered Arround the mission are are ammo boxes at the capture locations and in other spots. These give you access to part though not all of the spawn weapon choice dialogue.
7) When you get killed:
a) you have the full weapon choice dialogue available to you and
b) There is a respawn punishment wait of about 30 to 60 seconds for getting killed,
c) Then there is a map which allows you click which ever of the capture locations your team has and you wish to respawn at.
d) Advance respawn locations are risky to respawn at. While you do respawn any where in a 150m to 200m area within the location camping snipers, and camping is not considered bad form in ArmA just good tactics, often cover these locations. That said counter sniper teams and cannons or auto grenade lauchers often cover the known camping spots.
e) You can also always choose to respawn safe back at your base, often useful to pick up a tank or some such if all others are in use.
8 ) If one side is loosing realy badly then that often unlocks special extra weapons for them to even it up
"

Sorry super Noob.. You clearly never played Berzerk.. Cause it is awsome fun. And even more if you do it organised. And PS you clearly do't understand.. This is just one of the game modes. Just made by somebody that loved making PvP. That game mode has nice menu's and is highly optimised for up to 128 players. You can use alot of assets that are allready ingame or edit it yourself so it uses (just a example) PR:arma2 mod or ACE mod. And than a whole new world opens up for that game mode.

You think you can see how fun a game mode is by looking at the description?????
