@Darkside, its mainly used by clans to have their own cap badge when they play
anyway, at some point this may be implemented but not initially. |

Isn't this an ArmA II feature? Or do the models have to specify where the patch goes?

ON a model you need to define an area that will display a clans chosen logo by way of texture, haven't ever used it on my units but might in the future.
If you have ever looked at the BIS sample models there is a selection called clan (IIRC) its that bit. |

the Squad.xml is an ArmA1 feature but also works on ArmA2

Sounds awesome to me, wouldn't mind being able to have the badges on the shoulder for clans and then your rank on the other side. Would be a nice compliment to the realism.
