I thought Xfire allowed you to do just that, with like a pop-up that keeps the game going but you can browse the web & chat with friends while the game is still maximized?

If you bought ARMA2 with Steam, (or even if you did not) just add PRAA.exe to your library as a non-steam game. The overlay will then work in-game and you can browse the web.
Overwolf is also quite a popular alternative and integrates other applications like MSN and screen recording as well as a web-browser. Overwolf adds Facebook, Skype, Video recording, Messenger and much more to your favorite games! |
