I find this config is best for both choppers and fixed wing
 Increase thrust: W Decrease thrust: S Left turn: Not used Right turn: Not used Bank left: Mouse left Bank right: Mouse right Left pedal: A Right pedal: D Nose down: Mouse UP Nose up: Mouse DOWN |

Get a stick... I fly with the X52 pro... Way better than keyboard flying.

Joystick flight is truly much better, like winchesterdelta says. Gives you the fine tuning you need to fly a helicopter, or hover, and touch down GENTLY like a BUTTERFLY.

Just a quick question: The arma helis bank totally different dont they? because even with the BF2 controls set turning corners felt wierd.
