In game you have a couple options. Stick the muzzle in first, lower your weapon with ctrl, or aim down and look up with trackIR. Which is essentially the same as using ctrl. If you put the muzzle in first, and look in the direction you want, you'll actually move in the door because your weapon is against the frame. You have like 4ft wide doors where you live or something? | |

Exactly, the lower weapon key is so useless that if anyone uses it it's just for cool looks... And that is why people get annoyed about not being able to strafe through doors in a realistic manner - Lowering the weapon is too slow because of the related animation (you can't just "lower your weapon a little to get through and raise it right back after you pass"), and getting stuck isn't a whole lot better, so you just end up going straight through and turning after you pass the doorway, which isn't exactly realistic either.

Would be nice if you could hold ctrl as well. It drops the weapon and when you let go, it pops back up. It's too slow for CQC thats for sure.
Since I have trackIR, I admit, I only use it to move around in tight spaces, like a sniping roost with railings. |
