Hi guys!
I'm really looking forward to your mod and I have no Idea if you have built in stuff like that, but have a look at this mod: ShackTac Fireteam HUD (STHUD) - Bohemia Interactive Forums What about implementing this in PR:ArmA2? I never played PR for BF2 (BF2 "Vanilla" many years ago with a friend) but what I heard all is about Teamplay and this could really help to "force" Teamplaying. If you ask them for permission to include ShackTac Fireteam HUD into your mod or create your own, I don't care :P |

Pr bf2 never had anything like this, and I for one see it as a step into the arcady.

Indeed, each to their own but for me "less is more" where on-screen indicators are concerned.

"Less is more" is IMO less realistic. Keep in my that a real life soldier is very alert and dont need to have a multi directional headset or 10k$ sound system with Track IR to locate is teamates. This is only a little helper to SIMULATE real life situational awareness, which the "game" is all about.
I like it ! |

Well I did say "each to their own". You can make a similar argument (a substitute for awareness not possible using a 2D monitor & keyboard) in favour of crosshairs and 3rd person view but for me personally 'realism' plays second-fiddle to immersion and I find this type of device undermines that.

It's possible to stay together in Teams and on some Servers it's possible to detect your Mates on Map (M), but for Beginners it's easier with a little HUD-Help System
But if you don't implement this - I can live with that. Thanks experience with many Coop-Sessions without any indicators - but you need TS3 to talk with your mates or you get "lost". And I know on Public Servers isn't so much talk... |

it dose. when your close to your sqad mates a green arrow appears on ur HUD pointing in the direction they are. Players in game simply dont have same situation awareness as you would in real life, this helps improve teamwork and squad cohesion and isnt massively unrealistic. I support any sort of visual aids that are not excessive and help squad cohesion.
