Default How does ArmA gameplay work?

For instance, PR gameplay, 32v32 players, flag based map, AAS structured flags, see a vehicle - jump in, when a round ends a new map begins.

ArmA seems to be totally different. Will PR ArmA2 change the game to be like BF2 PR? How will it work?

Yes, the game play will most likely remain the same as BF2PR the only difference is, at the end of a round an admin needs to select the next map. But as CM said it could be anything the creator wants so we don't know what to expect.

....in BF 2 the "mission" is to conquer the map, more or less - in insurgency mode its to take out the caches....

in ArmA, the "designer" is the R-Dev yea? If they wanted, could it be 3 armies vs each other? really? I don't know how I feel about that. And how does the round end? Are there tickets?

How does an average ArmA round go?

you will find the most you will ever see on a server is around 120. however theoreticaly you could have over 200,00 people on ONE server.

however like cm said. its really up to the mission maker.

ok with PvP (TvT) its usually 1 team vs 1. with devastation, which is the AAS style mode. i think from memory there's tickets. But if one team captures all points the round is over. Now i cant remember the ticket count, but its significantly less than in PR. However, these rounds can usualy last up to 3 or 4 hours.

other types of TvT are plain old deathmatch type. were you win by killing all of the enemy team.

others are objective based. Like a SaR type were one side has to secure a downed heli and pilot whilt the other team is trying to kill/destroy.

Really the only limit to missions is what a mission designer can think of. and ANYONE with arma2 can make missions using the PR mod.

Not necessarily.
You can make list of maps true server config. In that case maps will be changed automatically.
