I play ARMA a lot and I have to say I absolutely don´t notice it. When I have to reload I´m busy with toher stuff and as somebody said before I´m way more focused on what´s going on around me. And besides.... the ones that haven´t played ARMA yet and will be new to that won´t even live long enough to reload I think that working on these animations is a waste of resources. On the one hand side you guys want a fight 50vs50 and then you really think you would have time to appreciate the reload animations? lol no way... there is even more eye candy in the game which I already can´t appreciate because it´s too much action on such crowded servers. | |

I was also satisfied with the reload animation of assault rifles in ArmA2. Should, of course, adjust the rate of reloading of such weapons as a light machine guns, as in the SLX modification. There is also the problem of lack of reload animation the bolt weapons in ArmA2. I wonder, is it possible to create such animation?

Animations are of course something important (especially since the current ones can cause eye-cancer in the first person look), but I think they are very low-priority. Animations can be done once everything which is essential for the mod has been released. And with essential I mean that there isn't anything else than animations or sounds which can be added.

The reload animation is okay, but in the end its those small things that really makes a mod/game shine.

yes, Arma 2 gun sounds, and almost all sounds actually, are terrible. Certainly a priority. I simply cannot put up with a combat simulator that sounds like a paintball arena...

Well I never realised how hard it would be to create animations for weapons in ARMA 2.
I still dislike the animations (I've been playing a lot of ARMA recently), but to be honest I have stopped noticing them as much as I used to. With small weapons its fine, its when you're carrying a larger gun it looks very awkward. A player usually looks around while reloading anyway, so that helps (avert your eyes!!!). Neverthless I now appreciate that this a low priority compared to other, more important, tasks. Still, I'd love to see it in the further stages in PR:ARMA 2 if it is deemed worthy! It's the little things like this that I think really stand out. |

i've never noticed the hand clipping and non-existent reload anims; mostly because i usually play in 3rd person view. i'll have to play in 1st person in a bit and see haha
