Air is actually pretty easy to take out anyway. A couple of hidden AA soldiers in the forest will make quick work of an A-10. No AA on the other hand and you're basically a sitting duck.

It depends on the amount of players. I think if we stay with 64 players we should keep it pretty similar. One or Two Jets or Attack Helicopters per team. If we go too 100, maybe 3 jets or attack helicopters per team, if we go to 128 we should aim for four.

maybe you lost the facts in the spam ... but there was already the option of limited kits !!! so there wont be as much HandheldAA kits !

Well it's a pretty critical topic if you want air assets in the game. No one is going to want to play a game if they are constantly raped by A10s. It might be all joy for the pilot but it will kill the mod within days IMO.

You could just use iron bombs only the pilot then has to learn the skill of placing the bombs correctly.

The laser guided bombs, funny enough need a laser on the target they cannont self laser a target.

The missiles however will autolock any close target.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about overpowered all assets as a few stingers will take out the trouble in no time, remember with view distances in Arma2 you can see jets a very long way off and you able to get ready

The Arma2 Airforce is being prepared, fuel have been checked, systems checked....

you need to remember it all down to mission builder what he put in a mission it does not work like bf2 map ,after like 3 years of arma/arma2 mission building i would say i got a good insight into how it works, and most missions builders like to make a good mission, if i put 2 a10 in the missions i would make sure the other side had aa in place so the pilot would have to be careful or he would get shot down,so i would not worry about it ,it completly difference then bf2/pr
