Post [ArmA]Mission beta-testers needed.

I have been working on a mission for ArmA over the past few weeks, but, due to the fact that the AI is soo "intelligent", I cant actually test it

So, I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in helping me for beta testing.

For those interested, here is the description :

Overview

The general idea is simply to rescue a captive. The harder part, is that his location is random! Please note that realsm is in no way my primary goal, so some parts may seem really odd.

Information

Mission name : Urban rescue
Mission type : Sp/co-op objective (up to 6 players)
Island : Porto
Release date : TBA
Required addons : A.C.E.
Queen's Gambit (apparently, not actually in my shortcut.)

Features:

-Random gameplay
-Raven's "Takebuilding" script
-Up to 6 players on the same team (might change)
-Open source (if anyone cares)
-Easter eggs
-Relatively open-ended : If there's no way you can manage to find/reach the hostage, you can still complete the mission without.
A bunch of screenshots are availible as an attachement (there are a few)

So, if anyone is intersted, wants more info etc (quote is a little old, but should be correct) please say so here. Please note that, except for the ability to use teamwork (shouldn't be a problem here...) and a working microphone, no specific skills are required (i.e. you dont have to be a great player)

If you want some help beta testing, go here

http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-a...n-development/

PM one of the admins like Jeepo or myself, and post your mission in the mission Depot, and we will put it on the server. Get on our teamspeak and we will try and get a few guys to test it. Most of the guys really like testing new missions, and we will put it up on our testing server.

The reason you need Queen's Gambit is because Porto Island is from Queen's Gambit. AFAIK TG doesn't use QG, so you won't be able to get it on their server.

@Bamboo : thanks for the offer, and will see if i can get it done tommorrow. Thing is, I have yet to play through it on certain layouts due to the AI, so it's probably relatively bugged up. As a consequence, I would like to run it through with a specific group first (which I am looking for) on a passworded server so as to avoid the "this is bugged, that doesn't work for me..." (allthough I think I can expect better from TG members). Again, will try to set this up tommorrow (so expect a PM at some stage), but please inform me if QG is a problem (even though porto runs without QG being technically used (ie : not in shortcut). Also, does TG have a full time server (I have yet to find a good server for multiplayer)?

@Deadfast : yeah, been there quite a few times, great site. But again, I would like to keep this testing relatively "private" (see above), and thus cant go asking all over the place (went for here as I know a few people play ArmA and most here have a microphone) Also, great work on your translations for ArmAII videos!

TG actually has 2 full time multiplayer servers running, except on Sundays during the event.
QG might be a problem for some. I personally have it, but know most guys don't.

We do lock our beta server when running it, for exactly the reason you said. People usually see me or a few of the others in a special TG server and try and hop in, so we password it to cut down on confusion.

A night or 2 a week we sometimes try a few beta missions for the guys working on new ones, and we know what to look for in beta testing. For instance, the past few weeks we have been helping TG-22nd Blackdog work on his mission "The Scientist", and it gets a little fixed each time. If he gets it tweaked right, it may be one of the best missions I have ever seen. One cool thing is a new AI chopper squad, where the SL can call for a pickup and drop off anywhere on the map, and an AI chopper comes out and does the job. It freakin' sweet!!!! Makes it so you and a few other guys can just jump in game, and do your job without having one guy hang back as a pilot, or try and talk another squad's player to come help your squad.
