I see no problem with the discussion that's taking place here, and as long as it doesn't stray off course I see no reason to lock it.

To go back to what Zemciugas said in pg1, the game needs a limited fighting zone with clear, preferably linear objectives. PR:bf2 started with small maps, so should PR:arma imo. At the moment it's just confusing and painful even.

HUGE +1. PR:BF2 grew as the playerbase did, it came from humble beginnings and has evolved over the years.

I've felt that PR:ARMA went too big, too soon right since the start. I haven't had the opportunity to play (due to terrible laptop) but given my experience with BF2 and what I've read/watched/inferred about the ARMA2 version, it's part of the issue.

There's nothing wrong with the discussion it's just not about PR Arma ... OP was talking about PR BF2 so it should be moved to the BF2 forums.

How does playing a tiny mission with 80 people help anyone? What you are saying would make sense, if our playerbase was split between several servers or non-existent. It is not. We choose missions according to the number of online players.

That being said, I do think we need more small and tiny missions. Every night the server gets gradually populated, but the people who are playing every day when the player count is still low, are basically forced to play these five or so missions all over again.

Yes, but given the misunderstanding, the discussion is about PR ARMA2. If you don't want to read it, stop contributing to the thread.

It's actually the title that's putting off for new players, the content overall is fine, but players will go on what the cover looks like in most cases, we all know this due to pr's past.

You know I too was having a hard time enjoying this mod. I took a little time off and came back to it. I must say that haven’t read to many posts in this thread but I think this mod is really on the right track. I feel myself getting immersed into the game, especially with the use of TrackIR, it makes the game that much more enjoyable....Really you get what you put into the game.

For me, I really enjoy seeing a lot of teamwork. Especially when the numbers get up and people run dedicated squads and work in teams taking objectives and using sound real-world tactics that actually work. Just imagine what this mod will be like when 'just' the custom maps hit.....

To really enjoy this mod, you have to want to be a part of a team to play this game and to enjoy it. You must like warfare and huge combined arms and know how to leverage them and not game the game to enjoy this mod.....again, really you get what you put into it I guess....for me it is what I have been looking for!!!

I believe there are plenty of people that feel about ARMA:PR the way this title says. Being more open-minded and discussing these issues will only benefit this new mod. Opinions about gaming experience should be as equally important as reporting a glitch in this early stage of mod development.

Well it depends on whether the thread was started for the right reasons, generally threads that are subject incorrect are locked down on PR or the title is changed to something which suits the subject at hand, we are now taking BF2 PR's bad publicity as well as our own.

Wouldn't you say that's a tad unfair?

But maybe I'm being too sensitive, I agree that players should say their thoughts, and encourage players to state their issues and in turn provide suggestions to help aleviate said compliant.
