Anyone else out there using TrackIR while playing PR? I have one and love it but I don't have it quite dialed in yet. I use it mostly for scanning around me while staying still. I also use it for incremental leans around corners, zooming bino's and scopes. Looking for some other players input on configuration or maybe someone to share thier TrackIR profile(s).

I use, especially when flying, FaceTrackNoIR. Haven't yet figured out a smooth setting for infantry gameplay. | |

Ive tried using TrackIr a fair bit for PR ARMA and other arma stuff, while it is a godsend for vehicles, I found it very hard to recenter and keep it their properly, with enough tweaking you can get it working ok, but personally I found it quite hard to get used to for infantry play.
Using it for the learning and zooming sounds really useful though, I totally did not think of that. |

I use mine for pretty much everything. As for keeping it centered, I have a key binding that resets it to the middle if I ever move. Keeping it their is also simple if you set it up in precision mode.
Will post my profile later if I remember. |

I use a bit of deadzone while infantry to stop the gun sights from swimming around while shooting. Zooming I do with the normal mouse key(with hold breath on ALT key, these are important to keep separate). Personally I don't use incremental lean that much as holding full lean and tapping the sideways walk keys usually does the job.

I use it all the time with default settings, just hit F12 to centre things if it gets out of line. Usually have no problems with using as infantry - I guess I can keep my head quite still. I find the default deadzone enough for inf and have no problems using sites. Also find it very useful for zooming in when concentrating on a target as I naturally lean towards the screen during these times anyway and of course its almost a must for flying...

Ya I have deadzones set as well so i don't move with small head movements. I have the zoom moved off of RMB.

Track IR gives you such an advantage in infantry mode. When people run and gun they don't do a quick scan left to right they won't even see you. Play with it a little get a good feel for it, you will find it hard to play with out it. Set it up with good monitor placement, and when you look at the edge of your screen the avitar is looking at its shoulder.

Ya it takes a bit to get used to and definitly has saved my butt a few times. I find myself moving my head while at work to pan from one monitor to the other sometimes out of habit.
