Default New Guy

What's up all. I am new to project reality just downloaded it last night. I was a little disapointed to see no one was on, not one person. Any groups out there who get togeather and play. I am a second shifter so I play from around 12am to 4 CST.

Hit me up

If I'm correct prime time would be 12pm - 6pm CST, sadly there aren't that many people on that late, hopefully there's a group of people that you can hook up with that plays at those times.

I think more people play BF2PR at the moment so if you really want to play PR and cant find any Arma servers try BF2 PR

but DayZ is really taking the numbers away along with some other games

but try playing on the weekends there should be more players

Once more people find out about PRArma Iam sure it will get as big if not bigger than its BF2 older brother

You aren't kidding there. They have more servers than imaginable. I'm not happy with the new patch either. NO GUN? SERIOUSLY? I think I should be in a chicken suit, not in tactical shirt and pants with body armor.

But we also don't know the impact of DayZ attracting players to ArmA2 yet.

I've certainly started to see a lot of new player names on the servers.

Have you seen this guys post count? if im assuming (assumptions are not great to go on but hey) correctly hes just bought Arma 2, now your telling him to buy BF2?

Am I the only one who thought hang on one sec lol?

Btw its nice to see a new face Jack come on RGG ts sometime and see if any of us are on, sometimes we are sitting on TS just mulling about and all it needs is an enthusiastic "come on guys" and we will happily join in

Also we have events every Sunday at around 2pm gmt so definitly jump on and join in

I have an EVGA Nvidia 9600 GT graphic card with a CPU core 2 duo quad core running OC at 3GHz. Running PRArma 2 with medium to low settings, I get around 30 FPS or below when playing Zargabad maps in highly densely forest or urban areas. Let me tell you something, you are at a serious disadvantage if you're not playing with 1920X1200 resolution with AA and LOD set on high, while maintaining high FPS. That level of detail is extremely import when you're battling enemies from afar, which in most cases, you'll find yourself in. There just so much the DEV can really do to optimize FPS in terms of programming.

The difference between playing Dayz and PR is that in PR, you are playing against real people. So it's a matter of who has the better graphics that may make a difference at the end.

I will say in the next year or so when people start to really aggressively upgrading their computers, that's when the player count will increase. Come the end of this year, we might very well find an increase in player count because of sales from the holidays to buy better graphics card. Hopefully by that time PR and BIS have made seriously improvements.
