Swedge's DESTRUCTION Reference for PR:Arma 2 Beta


This Reference has been written based on personal testing.

Some items of note include:

  • It only takes 3 satchels to destroy an FO Bunker
  • You can target anywhere within the FO Bunker's raised oval rock area
  • It only takes 1 satchel to destroy an FO CamoNet
  • You can disable a crew-served-weapon with less than 2 rifle mags
  • You can destroy an Opfor Tunnel with 2 satchels or 2 NLAWs

Good work. If you put 3 satchels on a FO and you want to set timer to the satchels, do you need to set timer to the 3 satchels or just to one? can the enemy disable the satchel once the timer is on?

Cheers mate.

If you want the satchels on a timer, you have to set each of the 3 timers individually. In PR:Arma 2, timed detonation of one satchel does not cause currently cause 'sympathetic' detonation of nearby satchels.

I've suggested in the comments that, if you intend to use a timer, that after you place each satchel and set the timer for it, you crawl slightly to the left before doing the next one. This avoids the situation that sometimes happens where, when 2 satchels are on top of each other, you set a 30 second timer on one, and then only get an option to extend the timer on the same satchel by an additional 30 seconds instead of an option to set a timer on the second satchel.

Units can disable their own timed satchels and I assume the enemy can disable yours as well, but this needs to be tested. I'll try it on an empty server some time.
