vArma 2 has also fun "teamwork Multiplayer". But that depends alot on how serious gamer you are and how much you want to learn about this game.. If you just want to have a quick 30 min game vArma2 should not be for you. If you like to organise stuff and love more indepth gameplay vArma2 and PR:Arma 2 should be a blast.
P.S. if you want to try other games in Arma that requires alot of Teamwork try the United Operations Community. You won't have to apply.. the only thing thats mandotory there is Team Speak 3. If you want to learn alot about Arma 2 really quick and want amazing teamwork i myself never have seen before you should go there. |

For me it's different because it allows the game to flow in tactical dreamhouse + you can choose what you wana do, if you wana get a real feel of the game jump in as squady and get some boys to help you setup a fob and fortify it then do the usual uno guard the fob and plan some attack move. Yeah and your playing against real ppl so putting in the effort is fine.
btw I still like pr:bf2 also. |

For the topic:
-More detailed maps with relief and obstacles (eventually) -PR's Game modes -PR's HUD and gameplay(no more "i go in the town while 50 snipers watch me die alone") -its TvT and the Devs have lot of experience with this kind of missions -1 Shortcut 1 download for everybody Fingers crossed: -Better sounds for weapons and effects -mechanics of LODs redone -Dynamic view/draw distance |

This is a nice example of a 5km*5km PVP map just recently released: Hazar-Kot Valley - Release Thread - Bohemia Interactive Forums EDIT: I think a sound mod significantly adds to re-playability | |

The only thing better about ArmaPR than regular Arma is it's emphasis on teamplay in a TvT situation. That should be present in vanilla aswell but unfortunately is very hard to find on public servers. Most people join clans or communities to get the most out of their Arma2 experience in that regard. And that's where PR comes in imo...the ability to find a non-scheduled public game where atleast a significant number of players understand the meaning of teamwork/play and the missions are specifically designed to enforce that.
But...that's TvT. Arma2 is also coop and sp. The latter I never bothered with (Arma is at it's core a MP game imo)...the former can be awesome with the right players and mindset. Again, most people join clans and communities for decent coop games. I know lot's of people here are hardcore TvT players and will shudder at the thought of coop games against the "dumb ai", but with the right mission design, scripts and playerbase, they can be absolutely grand! So I think the question should be "What makes PRArma2 better than regular public Arma2 TvT?" Small but significant difference imo. |

The best thing for me with PR:A2 is that you don't need to dl gigs of useless little addons and what not to run. Other than that, a working pvp environment, some sort of organization and understanding, less lag, plenty of players, focused action for the most part and working logistics. Arma 2 is basicly one man army with a dude runing around with a thermal m82 + javelin with a apache or smth and it's just so random and retarded. To get any proper game in A2 you must join clans, do their stupid training, install 10 gigs of addons and so on. Basicly cave in and nolife.
Also hoping that the next release will include atleast 1 or 2 of the awesome new maps based on real locations released recently by the community. Can't stand the Oa map. |
