This happened yesterday as well, our squad was in some heated close quarter combat when people began arguing on side about who tricked who out of the Apache. We couldn't hear anything on group causing us to nearly loose the checkpoint. - In truth, I don't know what to say because there are so many views to the use of assets.

Rather than assigning privileges or waiting areas it should be mandatory to give assets to whoever is able to clearly define their use, if there is a conflict of interest. I know it's not ideal but sometimes the first-come-first-serve idea means lone-wolfers will be able to gain access to assets and end up wasting them.

In short, if you can justify your use of an asset and are able to communicate with other squads effectively over someone who chooses not to, then I'd rather that person took the Apache even if he was last in the "queue". This ensures the most productivity.

Issue same amount of pilot kits as there's assets. Possibly assault pilot and transport pilot separate kits? Make it first come first serve but give commander power to choose who's piloting. Or let players vote or something like that.. Just throwing some ideas around..

No to a commander choosing who gets what. Just use preset squads, whoever picks apach-squad first will get asset (them also being the only one to be able to get a apachepilotkit). Or as it works now, first named squad gets asset, works in BF2PR. Have admins keep tab on assetsquads (just like in bf2pr) , if asset is wasted, warn/kick/bann etc.

This game needs more structure so it gets easier for admins to keep tabs on players.

If the proposals are still actual, can be roughly this way:
- If the vehicle is already available, everyone can take it, as before.
- If the vehicle has not yet available on respawn, squad leader can to make a reservation at 1 unit of vehicles for his squad through a special menu.
- When a reservation vehicle becomes available, squad should pick it up within 3-5 minutes, after the reservation is lost.

The special menu will be to inform everyone about the free vehicle, and time of its available on respawn.

By the way this will work for squad naming. This requires to give access for the administrator in the menu for changing reservations.
