Doesnt mater how long you can sprint for your still gonna get shot in the head when you get to where your spriting to as you have no control over your weapon, personaly i think the sprint times should be reduced to make people think more tacticly about moving from building to building rather then "right, you see them stairs, sprint over to them, you know they cant hit you if you sprint"

I also think that sprint should be longer for none industrial armies. The equipment weight affects your stamina endurance. But on the other hand the US have quite low weight on them so i think they should be able to sprint alot. The US m16 weighs like a toy weapon and usually every soldier don't even carry a AT4, compeared to a swedish soldiers who has a heavier automatic carbine and is atleast required to carry an AT4 and often a M240 instead of their AK or a Carl gustaf grenade rifle (14kg). And i was able to sprint some time with the Grenade rifle and Ak so i think the US soldiers with their lighter weight should keep their current sprint time.

Don't forget that an untrained militia soldier wouldn't be able to move as quickly as someone trained specifically for it.

It's like the tortoise vs the hair. One tires out quicker than the other. The army slower as it may be would have more endurance

4 hours straight running sounds like a professional's level of fitness to me. Hence why the sprint should be the same for all factions, esp. professional or para-military ones.

There is grounds on fitness basis for reducing fundamentally urban/insurgent type forces, but re-balancing the game would not be worth the effect of changing this either in my opinion.

I don't think it's a matter of training. I mean think about it: Your typical American soldier is in his early 20s and goes through daily PT. They may not be olympic Gold Medalist, but they should have just as good a chance as running as any other respectable soldier -- or terrorist.

Insurgents should get a longer sprint but only when US solider get more body armour.

The reaon Insurgents can out run American Soliders is not because they are faster, but they have a much lighter load than their typical American infidel.

But to my knowledge, right now the BluFor in PR does not have any armour advantage over OpFor. Therefore, they should not get a sprint increase.

touche. What i meant by that is the human potential. A taliban could very well be a fat guy that sits on his ass until they go shoot someone.

I remember reading an article somewhere where a man who infiltrated the Taliban and said they trained by running barefoot through snow covered mountains for hours at a time, cant find the article now though.

There is also that little matter of having God on your side that motivates them....(personally I don't believe in God but history has proven that people can go above and beyond if they think God is looking over their shoulder).
