Default Jets.

In various maps, like Kashan, and Quinling, my suggestion is to make the jets of the same kind. This problem is more showcased in Kashan, where you have the F-16 and A-10, both maybe 600 k/m faster when idling, my idea is to make Kashan all A-10 and all MiG-23, to allow true teamwork between the jet teams, the main jet, and a wingman to keep on the first ones back. I've had plenty of times in a jet, where it was a perfect opertunity for a same jet to get on my back and take down the threat that I was able to dodge for a good 30 seconds, but the problem was, the F-16 couldn't intercept because it was too fast, and it couldn't stay on my tail for the time I wasn't being engaged. Teams of the same jet I think would prove to me much more effective.

If the reason why theres different jets on one team is because of variety, I'll understand.

I think what he's suggesting is having 2 attack jets on Kashan or similar maps instead of 1 Interceptor and 1 Attack. It sounds interesting enough, but I'm sure there will be points brought up by those who like armor or flying those interceptors to counter the argument. Not really sure what I think of it myself.

Well yes it would be ok, but there still should be a ground attack air platform to respond to CAS requests.

To be honest - why do we have jets?

It's so unrealistic the way Jets fly around the map 4km away from one another - I'm sure that you call in a jet from a base 50 miles away to bomb targets, not one which is flying around randomly strafing over head.

Imho they should be removed and replaced by more forms of Area Attack to simulate more jets.

I really like that idea, 2 pilots flying next to each over in the same jet covering each others back. I'd prefer to see this. As it is now is fun imo aswell but its not fun getting raped by mig as you approach landing.

But in order to get those area attacks you need someone who is willing to command. That doesn't happen in every game, whereas every map with planes has 1000 people who want to fly. Now, they might all get killed, but then at least both teams are on an equal footing, since all their planes have been crashed into the ground/each other by n00bs.

Have you ever experienced a jdamn critical failure? The one where the mark is perfect, and the bomb comes down, the smoke clears, and it's killed two infantry, not the 3 tanks and 2 ifvs you called it on?

How about the artillery that doesn't hit anywhere near where it should?

Yes the airbases in PR are unrealistic, so are a lot of things in PR. It's a gameplay facilitator, and they are there because some people have fun with aircraft, some people have fun with armor, some people have fun with infantry, etc.

I do wonder if it would be better to have two close attack aircraft, instead of one attack and one air superiority fighter, but the current arrangement works just fine.

Players might be hardcoded, but that sure doesn't seem to stop anybody from trying.

2500m view distance + no out of bounds + 2 fighter jets + 1/2 CAS = realistic and awesome with teamwork possible in the mix. When all you can see is gray for 900m infront of you travelling at light speed in a 4km box you can“t expect much...
