Well, quite simply, I think the minimum height is a bit too high. Jumps can be done successfully from 100m as far as I know, but then people would just base-jump from the Dam on Jabal. So I propose a compromize, to anywhere around between 150-200 metres for a minimum parachute deploy distance. It just seems to high for the parachute, in reality, to fail. Even though there is always a chance of failing, I'm sure there wouldn't be heavy difference if a parachute was pulled at 200m compared to 300m.
I also find that since most helos fly mid-alt, the minimum height would allow a better chance of survival, but that's just me, and doesn't really support what I'm trying to say. Overall, I just think it is too high to be minimum. |

The only people jumping out of aircraft below the min height would be helocopter pilots ditching and how many real world stories do you hear of helocopter pilots ditching in such manner, let alone successfully?

Tbh it's ridiculous that the minimum height is so high - yes people COULD jump off the dam on jabal - but only if they had the pilot kit, which is useless apart from flying stuff and lobbing red smoke at stuff.

The minimum height is fine as it is IMO.
Maybe you could provide some hard proof that helicopter pilots bail out at 200 meters, deploy a parachute, and don't get jacked up in the progress. I'm sure the DEV's would be more likely to implament it. |

I guess you're right there Kim. But I still think it is still too high to be realisticaly minimum. Maybe the pilot is just useless and there's no point to this thread.

How many pilots are really parachuting out of their vehicles? In pub games very few people bother to save the ticket, given that they would have to walk back to base anyhow. I don't think its really a big deal.
