It is, if you guys would just FOLLOW THIS GUIDE! Until the PR MD5 check lists get updated, this is a simple workaround that will allow you to play and alt-tab with AA on.

WOW, my PR won't start now that i created the .bat and executed it.
I just want the old .dll file back and take out the AA. (((((((((

You didn't correctly install the dll's and bat. You didn't replace your old RendDX9.dll with the hotfix did you? If you did, then you will need to reinstall the 1.5 patch so you have the original file. Let me explain further.

1: Leave your current RendDX9.dll file as it is. Its filesize is 2,496 KB. GO TO YOUR BATTLEFIELD 2 FOLDER AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECTLY NAMED DLL FILES, RENDDX9.DLL SHOULD BE 2,496 KB, and RENDDX9_FIX.DLL SHOULD BE 2,498 KB.

2: Download the hotfix file, extract it, and RENAME THE EXTRACTED RENDDX9.DLL (THE HOTFIX RENDDX9.DLL!) TO RendDX9_fix.dll.

3: PUT THE RendDX9_fix.dll FILE IN C:\PROGRAM FILES\EA GAMES\BATTLEFIELD 2.

4: Make DxBFStart.bat, and put EXACTLY THIS into it:

@ECHO OFF

CD "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2"

RENAME RendDX9.dll RendDX9_15.dll

RENAME RendDX9_fix.dll RendDX9.dll

MAKE ANOTHER BAT FILE CALLED DxBFMainMenu.bat and put EXACTLY THIS into it:

@ECHO OFF

CD "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2"

RENAME RendDX9.dll RendDX9_fix.dll

RENAME RendDX9_15.dll RendDX9.dll

BEFORE YOU START THE GAME, RUN DxBFStart.bat, and when you are AT THE MAIN MENU, RUN DxBFMainMenu.bat.

What i have now on the bf2 folder:

RendDX9_15.dll -> 2,498 Kb
RendDX9x2.dll -> 2.066 Kb

Yes. You messed it up. Rename RendDX9_15.dll to RendDX9_fix.dll, then go reinstall the 1.5 patch so you can get the original RendDX9.dll for sending the MD5 sum to the server. If you don't have the 1.5 patch downloaded I can upload the original RendDX9.dll file somewhere for you. You need both the original RendDX9.dll file from the 1.5 patch, and the RendDX9_fix.dll hotfix for the BAT files to work.

After that has been done, the bat files should work properly.

Sidenote: RendDX9x2.dll is a stock file that (I think) is for SLI and Crossfire. Basically, ignore it.

RendDX9.dll Download it and put it directly into the Battlefield 2 folder (and don't rename it to anything!).

When you have the RendDX9.dll file in the Battlefield 2 folder, make sure you have the RendDX9_fix.dll in there as well. Before you start the game, run DxBFStart.bat, and when you're at the main menu, alt-tab out and run DXBFMainMenu.bat. You won't accidentally rename the files now.
