Honestly, I don't like the idea that the medic kit is limited. Most of the time, when my squad actually needs a medic I get the squad limitations message. It's so annoying. There aren't enough medics on the field anymore because of this, and the ones that are out there, are on another squad and don't stop to help. I've only seen myself help someone from another squad (When I can actually get a medic kit!), and that was probably because they didn't press "give up" soon enough.
What are your feelings on the medics in the new update? |

I prefer it this way. Fair enough, there can be times when your squads kit has been picked up by someone else but all of this adds to medics being more valiable and looked after.

I would suggest getting Mumble and playing in the Mumble PR servers for platoon size operations. While slightly unrealistic, a favorite tactic is for two or more infantry squads forming a blob formation and moving out. This way it ensures you have another medic close by in case the one in your squad is down. Although, the medic kit should be considered like a HAT kit and picked up ASAP if that person gets wounded or killed.

I Love it! Im almost always a medic cause I like it and theres so few other volunteers. I also always stop to heal others when I can (when not ordered with an ASAP order for example). I even risk my life getting in to a spot to revive downed blue's!
I think its more of a player mentality flaw than a game flaw. Never experienced the bug where I couldnt pick it up. Guess this has to do with people selecting it before you can, or a squad-mate picked it up after you are downed. No biggy, just get another kit and switch back later. Dont really feel they are more important now. Theres just less of them. I also like the 60 second death rule they put on now. |

well, there is one way we could solve this.
its usually one or two squads that don't get a medic kit for their squad due to the bug. perhaps, if as a quick fix, you added two "company medic" kits that had 0 second wait time to be able to be requested. that way if a squad cannot get ahold of a medic, they can grab the company medic kit. |

I play medic a lot, also play medic on the PRT most of the time.
But I often find it hard enough to keep my own squad up and running in public, mainly because they aren't sticking to the squad all the time, die and then I can find out where they died. But I only see that on the public games. I often try to help other squads but trying to find my own squadmates back usually makes that impossible. If squadmates stay within my view, I can revive a lot easier since i know where they died. That way i could have more time to help teammates out. Also people tend to give up too early, maybe making the respawn time 1 min and disable the give up for that 1 minute. That will also save some epipens on people giving up immediately while right next to a medic But like I said, it only happens on public games. |

i like the idea of disabling the give up button for something like 30 seconds.

The medic changes are perfect; the immortal squads are gone and people are more afraid of dying. What you have to do is too keep the medic reasonably safe and the squad togheter, and when the shit hits the fan - be patient!! Don't give up if the medic can revive you, and don't expect to be revived until the area is safe/clear.

, but there's one thing i don't like is that this game encourages squads to spread out to much, or it forces them too.
The best situation for a medic is having to squads working together covering each other, with that many people in a area you can set up a very protected perimeter in which you can work in safety. But in this game that rarely happens. |

RHYS: If you stay behind ure squad a little or at least in the rear of the formation, and instead of engage give some supressive fire and fall back 5/10 meters ure pretty much safe. No reason to have a squad form a solid wall around you. The squad misses out on 1 accurate shooter, but you can give some pretty good supressive fire from ure position. Lie down faster than usual with incoming fire and you should be ok.
