Default Taliban faction, qué?

Seriously, WTF. Basically, my problem is that they get equipment and support that very close to being on par with the US army, but they still do not get closer to losing when they get killed or when they lose assets (like cars or technicals). There are only 3 factors which make then sub par, they lack transport and logistics trucks, which doesn't matter anyway because they can build hideouts anywhere and ammo caches are everywhere so they can get ammo, They dont have a little bird, which is also insignificant because the little birds can't even give any support whatsoever and its damn hard to find an LZ, and finally the taliban rifles dont have scopes, which is the only significant factor, and is lessened in significance because they can still request, WTF REQUEST (?), marksman and sniper rifles.

So, yeah, those are my concerns with the Taliban faction.

I think the most sensible solutions are to either A: Double the amount of tickets that the US Army gets, or B: Make it so that the Taliban has tickets, but 125% to 150% as many tickets as the US has, like say if the US army had 300 tickets, the Taliban would get 375 or 450 tickets.

I think the latter solution is better because A will pay too high a price by making the games unnecessarily long.

Taliban are an organised fighting force capable of conventional thinking, if not conventional supply.

Korengal is getting major refit in .9, (well, if CRF's blog is anything to go by) so, can't comment.

Archer is going ot the Canadians, so we don't know what kind of assets it'll get to balance the final build.

They can only request from Caches....Thats a way of FINDING THEM!

I like to stay at range on an OP, watching how kits move around in the enemy area, AT going to reload or spawn kits becoming requestable kits show where the cache is. Pinpointing to the right building gives you the initiative.

Currently korengal is unbalanced, because the LB is very easy to kill in main...in fact the main is killable from the hills. But thats gonna change according to CRF's blog.

The Taliban are well funded. They've got some of the naughtier Dev's Heroin. Old russian gear, good funding, training and high rate of national army desertion make them a force to be reckoned with.

Whilst I agree that perhaps the US could have a few more tickets the sides are generally even (I normally play as Taliban though).

In this instance US gets:-
Superior mobility + Firepower

Taliban gets:-
To choose where the battle is, time to prepare and the advantage of spawning in the combat areas by default (most of the time).

I'm really looking forward to see the Canadian forces on that map.

Well if anything should change to nerf Talibs, ts should be much longer hideout building time...They have to dig the whole bunker underground, make the hut on the top etc etc. and they dont need any crates, on the other side firebase is just put together, so its good as it is.

One of the key things to accomplish to be able to win Korengal a US (and later Canada) is avoiding getting trapped when leaving main. And then set up a rally that doesn't get overrun. That is not easy, but once in that position you have come a long way of winning.

I like the hunt for cashes, and Korengal is my favorite ins. map.

Taliban are fine IMO, I much prefer to play them over Insurgents.

They're in no way equal to coalition, but are balanced reasonably well in an asymmetric way.
