My favs are The Longest Day, Sands of Iwo Jima, Letters from Iwo Jima, and one many of you young-uns probably never heard of called Hell To Eternity. But I think WW2 has been pretty well worked over; Brothers in Arms, Call of Duty, BF1942, etc.

I was getting into a funk with BF2 until I stumbled upon PR....I love the work the mods have done on PR, in particular the Asad map, and Korengal Valley looks like it could be really good if I ever get it on a new system so I can play the daggum thing without my low-tech stuttering machine. I'm looking forward to the near future, when what the mods have in their minds today comes to fruition!

What I like about Asad is, well, everything! Open fields, hills and dales, street/house-to-house fighting, river crossings, farmed fields and a stubborn "enemy". Hmm, imagine it were available on larger (32, 64) maps!

Just keep in mind that maps that are about pure defense vs. offense often fail in game because it's so damn hard to storm a fortress/beach ect... I personly like that kind of maps but they are not popular beacuse the offensive team often gets pwned... I trust I don't have to mention Gulf of Oman and the small map, that I forgot the name of, back from .75 where the PLA were defending a fortress of some kind against the USCM uphill. I still have nightmares about that map

Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading
