Now I'm glad you've raised this point because I have an answer to that;
Yes, you can hear a chopper but on maps like Archer for instance, you can't tell where it is exactly... Unless you can hear a distinct side-cannon firing, or see biiiiiiig red tracers saying HERE HERE SHOOT ME! |

Compared to the dynamic sound of helicopters flying around, landing and taking off, slowing down and speeding up. | |
