I can't see how that would have anything but a positive effect on gameplay (it would mainly deal with the issue of characters getting stopped by sidewalk curbs when approaching them from certain angles).

You could technically have a bit of an issue with the "invisibility" of the ramp interfering with fire in some very rare situations--the issues are so minor they're not really worth mentioning.

(I really can't wrap my head around the logic behind not doing this. I mean, surely some of the original playtesters must have complained about this.)

From what I understand, the rate at which a character changes stance (i.e. the animation) cannot be changed, so the "spontaneous" is here forever.

What can be changed however is the amount of deviation that results from changing stance. I would just max out deviation for jumping (like something nasty--you shouldn't be able to hit a wall in front of you). So at least things like teagbagging/dolphine-diving result in an prohibitively high level of inaccuracy (i.e. it's not worth doing).

But I think they've done all they can with jumping.

(But I still think jumping should consume less stamina for reasons stated before; mature players shouldn't have their gameplay suffer for a few bunnyhoppers.)

Point taken.

Really? Isn't that risky? (Not really game-related, just curious.) Granted, I've heard a lot of the opposition over there aren't exactly the greatest shots.

That was just to compensate for the removal of the ability to jump.

You can in some maps--break-away walls and destructible objects were added in larger amounts in v0.85. (I've seen people smash through walls with APCs, thus giving alternate access to infantry.)

... $hit I gotta work out more.

What about invisible geometry to help walking over curles?
