My guess is the model's main use wasn't just on Fool's Road with Russians. Maybe it's been used on maps featured in Iraq, or it's from another mod that had an Iraqi flag put on it.
It's a bit of a small thing. In turn, good eye spotting it.

Come on, it's a BMP-2, why should it be uncommon in Chechnya?
Even if it was placed to represent arms dealers, it fits the RAF vs. Chechen rebels setting well. It's just a destroyed BMP the militia suceeded to destroy. |
